Azure DevOps Wiki Attachments

Did you ever want to be able to see your attachments in Azure DevOps wiki?
Wish you could insert a picture and reuse it across multiple pages?
Perhaps organize them in sub-folders?
Have a built-in attachments manager?

Unfortunately there is no attachments manager available within the wiki, and the way to do any of the above is to clone the repository.

If you want to spare yourself from the hassle of cloning the wiki, use the trick below.

The WIKI is just a code repository, which means you can explore its contents through the repository browser tool. But this repo is not visible by default.

  1. Open the Wiki and select the Clone Repository option
  2. Copy the URL. Paste it in a new window, removing the user user name.
  3. Open the .attachments folders. Navigate to view, review and rename your existing attachments.
  4. If you want to add new or update existing attachments, drag and drop a file on the .attachments folder.
  5. Add a comment and click on the Commit button.
  6. Refresh the wiki to see the changes.
